What does a clean house smell like?
Well, nothing! Clean is the absence of aroma.
What products do you use?
All of our cleansers are environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and plant & mineral based. Our multi-purpose cleanser is biodegradable, and free of artificial fragrance, preservatives and dyes. We also use castile soap, baking soda, pure essential oils and vinegar (Don't worry, your house won't smell like vinegar. We use it sparingly!)
Why should I choose Fresh Nest Green Cleaning over your competitors?
We practice what we preach. The products we use in your home are the same products we use in our own homes. We are migraine sufferers, have chemical sensitivities, are parents, and pet owners, so we understand the need for safe but effective cleaning products and practices. We have done the research and keep up with new information that comes out in regards to green cleaning, not only for health reasons but because we truly care about the environment and are passionate about the power of green cleaning. We take that knowledge and passion into your home and provide a professional cleaning without all the toxic chemicals.
What are your rates?
Our rates are hourly, no hidden fees. Please refer to our 'SERVICES' page for more details. We calculate the number of hours to clean your space by taking into consideration the square footage, number of bathrooms, number of storeys, how often you require cleanings, and any special cleaning requests you may have.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, cheques and e-transfer. Payment is due at time of cleaning. A receipt will always be provided.
What are your hours of operation?
We clean between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 48 hours notice, but 5-7 days would be very much appreciated.
Are you licensed, insured & bonded?
Yes we are!
Do you bring a vacuum or a broom?
No, for cross-contamination and hygienic reasons we do not. We do not want to transfer germs (bacteria), allergens, pet dander, bed bugs, etc., into your home. It is safer for you if we use your vacuum and brooms.
How do you gain access to my home?
It is up to you. You can give us a key code, be there to let us in, or give us a spare key. Keys will be labelled anonymously, and securely stored in our office. The best option, especially if you are considering having your home cleaned on a regular basis, is a lock box, or a portable key safe. The lock box is hung on your door with the key safely locked inside. Your cleaner is given the code to access the key to your home.
What if I am not happy with my service?
We want you to be happy with our service! But if for some reason you are not, take a photo if possible of the area you are unhappy with, and call us within 24 hours of your cleaning. We will come back to fix the problem area free of charge.
How do I prepare for my cleaning?
Please take a few minutes prior to your cleaning to tidy up the areas we will be cleaning. This will allow us to focus on the house cleaning and not routine housekeeping. For example, clear your kitchen counters/sink of dirty dishes, pick up toys, dirty laundry, clothing from floors, etc. A clear path and easy access will ensure our time is spent more efficiently.
What supplies do you bring?
Our Green Cleaners will bring the cleaning solutions and tools needed to thoroughly clean your home or office. The exception being vacuums and brooms, see question answered below.
What do you not clean?

Do I need to be present at the cleaning?
No, you do not need to be there. Most clients are not present during the cleaning. But, with a lot of people now working from home, it is definitely not a problem if you are there. We just ask that you let us know who will be present and isolate in another area while we are cleaning.
